# Terms of Service

**Effective Date:** July 3, 2026
**Last Updated:** July 3, 2026

Welcome to Mission Metrics (“Mission Metrics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), accessible at missionmetrics.org (the “Site”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Site, including all content, blog articles, downloadable resources, workshop listings, book information, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Mission Metrics provides educational content, resources, and tools related to nonprofit data, metrics, leadership, and operations, including blog articles, downloadable toolkits, informational workshops, and published books.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

– Use the Site in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
– Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Site’s content without express written permission
– Use any automated system, bot, scraper, or data mining tool to access or collect content from the Site without our prior written consent
– Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, other accounts, or computer systems connected to the Site
– Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
– Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
– Interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers/networks connected to the Site

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, articles, graphics, logos, frameworks (such as “Preventive Poverty” and “Return on Donation”), downloadable toolkits, workshop materials, and book excerpts — is the property of Mission Metrics or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided you do not modify or remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices. Any other use — including reproduction, distribution, public display, or creation of derivative works — requires our prior written permission.

5. Downloadable Resources and Toolkits

Free or paid downloadable materials (such as the Nonprofit KPI Toolkit) are provided for informational and educational purposes only. These materials are licensed, not sold, to you for your own internal use. You may not redistribute, resell, or repost these materials without our written consent.

6. Workshops and Third-Party Booking

Mission Metrics offers informational workshops (such as the “Data is King” and “AI Workshop” sessions). Workshop scheduling, registration, and/or payment may be processed through third-party platforms not owned or operated by Mission Metrics. When you use a third-party platform to book or pay for a workshop:

– Your transaction is subject to that third-party platform’s own terms of service and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review
– Mission Metrics is not responsible for the availability, security, functionality, or performance of any third-party platform
– Payment processing, refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling for workshops are governed by the applicable third-party platform’s policies unless otherwise stated directly by Mission Metrics in writing
– We make reasonable efforts to ensure links to third-party booking platforms are accurate and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability

7. Book Sales via Third-Party Platforms

Mission Metrics’ published book, “Leading Normal People,” may be made available for purchase through third-party retail platforms (such as Amazon or similar booksellers). Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and that third-party retailer, governed by the retailer’s own terms of sale, shipping policies, and return/refund policies. Mission Metrics is not the seller of record for purchases made through third-party platforms and cannot process refunds, returns, or order issues on the retailer’s behalf — please contact the retailer directly for order-related support.

8. No Professional Advice

Content on the Site — including blog articles, frameworks, workshops, and downloadable resources — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, tax, accounting, or other professional advice specific to your organization’s circumstances. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on content found on the Site. Mission Metrics makes no representation that any strategy, framework, or metric discussed on the Site will produce specific results for your organization.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or resources (including workshop booking platforms, the book retailer, or referenced external sources) that are not owned or controlled by Mission Metrics. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party sites. Inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement. You access third-party sites entirely at your own risk.

10. User Submissions

If you submit any information through our Contact form or otherwise communicate with us through the Site, you grant Mission Metrics the right to use that information to respond to your inquiry and, where applicable, to improve our Services. Please do not submit confidential or sensitive information through the Contact form.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, MATERIALS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF CONTENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MISSION METRICS AND ITS FOUNDERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, ANY THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM LINKED FROM THE SITE, OR ANY CONTENT OR MATERIALS PROVIDED THROUGH THE SITE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mission Metrics and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, offerings, or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our discretion.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our [Privacy Policy](https://missionmetrics.org/privacy-policy/), constitute the entire agreement between you and Mission Metrics regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements.

19. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us through our [Contact page](https://missionmetrics.org/contact-us/).
